Life Reinsurance Consulting Firm, mL3 global life, Introduces Industry Veteran as CEO

Princeton, NJ, July 29, 2013 – mL3 global life is pleased to announce that Michael Barnett, retiring CEO of Employer’s Reassurance Corp., a subsidiary of General Electric, will join mL3 global life in August 2013 and lead the new joint venture as President and CEO.

Michael Barnett’s career in the industry includes eleven years with General Electric Capital Corp. with seven of these years as Chairman and CEO of Employer’s Reassurance Corp., Union Fidelity Insurance Co. and Heritage Casualty Insurance Co. He joined GE ERC as part of its acquisition of AUL Reinsurance in July of 2002, as the US Life Reinsurance Leader for Global Life & Health.

Barnett began his insurance career as an agent with Mutual Benefit Life in 1976. He joined AUL Reinsurance in 1979 and for 23 years held responsibility for ceded and assumed administration, claims, systems, treaties, accounting, group reinsurance and the North American Life Reinsurance operation.

mL3 global life serves the North America life and health reinsurance market (ceded, assumed, and retrocession) by providing industry expertise, business consulting, and software application integration services. mL3 helps clients think through their toughest challenges, identify and plan solutions for those challenges and create significant business transformation.

mL3 also supports the introduction of msg.LRM, an SAP-based integrated solution for life reinsurance companies, to the North American market by offering consulting services in conjunction with the installation of that product.

Barnett joins Raymond DiDonna, who was recently appointed Chief Operating Officer of mL3.
